Xavier and LSU Alexandria finish their seasons in the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Quarterfinal Round

WACO, Texas (May 15, 2026) – No. 5-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana and No. 7-ranked LSU Alexandria, both from the Red River Athletic Conference, had first-round byes. Both teams lost in the quarterfinal round of the 45th Annual UTR Sports NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship. The event is being held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., through May 16. It has been hosted there for 22 consecutive years (except for 2020, when it was canceled due to COVID-19). In addition to Xavier and LSU Alexandria, Louisiana Christian University and Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) represented the RRAC, but both were eliminated earlier in the week, concluding their seasons.

WACO, Texas (May 13, 2026) – The Red River Athletic Conference congratulates Xavier University of Louisiana, LSU Alexandria, Louisiana Christian University, and Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) for qualifying for the 45th Annual UTR Sports NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship. The event is being held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., through May 16, for the 22nd consecutive year (the 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19).
Xavier emerges victorious in the RRAC Women's Tennis Championship

WACO, Texas (April 18, 2026) – Third-seed Xavier University of Louisiana swept top-seed LSU Alexandria this afternoon to win the 2026 RRAC Women’s Tennis Championship. XULA, the tournament host, defeated LSUA 4-0. XULA will receive an automatic bid to the 45th Annual NAIA Women’s National Championships, held May 12-15 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. Other qualifiers and seedings will be announced on April 28.
RRAC announces Women's Tennis All-Conference Team and Player of the Year awards

WACO, Texas (April 18, 2026) – The 2026 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women’s Tennis All-Conference team features repeat first-team selection - Nahia Echaide of LSU Alexandria (named Player of the Year) and Xavier University of Louisiana’s (XULA) McKenna Wheatley. XULA also swept Newcomer and Freshman of the Year honors as announced on April 18, 2026. Conference coaches vote on the award winners.
LSUA, Xavier advance to RRAC women's tennis champioinship

WACO, Texas (April 17, 2026) – Top-seed LSU Alexandria will face Xavier University of Louisiana in the 2026 RRAC Women’s Tennis Championship game. The finals will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday. XULA is hosting the tournament, which began on April 16, at the XULA Tennis Center in New Orleans.
